BTW, guys, I had a nock break today when i was shooting at gander mtn. The nock actually broke off and hit me in the face. The arrow (fortunately) was propelled out of the bow safely and straight and no damage was done but god was it scary!!! I knew exactly what happened but it was weird. I was shooting a back tension release so the shot was even mmore of a suprise b/c i got popped in the face, and the bow was a tad bit louder. I check my nocks pretty often but i guess this one wasnt very noticable and had a stress crack in it.

I got freakin LUCKY I wasnt plastered in the face by Bowtech limb[&:]. Could have been my bow we were talking about on here BS.

I'd say that I have been pretty lucky. I'm taking it to that same proshop because that is where I bought it.

Black I don't know what the hell the dude at your pro shop is smoking..... but itmust be the good stuff.

Who in their right mind would let a bow go with that kinda space on the axels! Holy crap!

ok, to get to the first point mentioned in the thread here, I went from a tomkat 60# to a 82nd at 60#.
Both have the MeanV supressor installed. And the tomkat makes spitting like sound where as the 82nd sounds more like a hamer that hits a wooden board.
I'm shooting 400gr arrows with 125gr tips and I left the standard stopper on, I just replaced the rubber with a bowjax model.
At first the 82nd made his typical noise and than I started fiddling with the space between the string and both the rubber stoppers. The best thing do to is ask some bystanders to check the noise, they have a better understanding and judgement then the one shooting the bow.
Since the MeanV hits the string first I left some space, the Bowjax stopper slightly touches the string with a little tension.
I tried shooting with and without the standard stopper but prefer them both on the bow....
My bow isn't all that loud anymore and she's still smokin' fast........

Alright guys, I'm going into the shop today, but I need to know what to look for when he is doing this, so it gets done right. Sooner than later would be good.

If it was me I'd get a schematic of how it's supposed to be before going any farther. Then I'd get the parts and a (the right) press and new strings and do it myself. Before you take it apart take pictures and video the disassembly, possibly doing only one end at a time.

If you have to pay someone who has a working one to take pictures of there's. Be best if you can find someone who works on there's.

I have never been in a shop that knew what they should know. Most just sell them and can screw something onto one, some can even put new strings on, sort of.

At the very least find out what is wrong before taking it in. I don't nor have I ever own a BT so I'm no help.

Those axles need some attention,no way should they stick out like that. There are spacers missing, get to your shop and get it fixed. That could be your noise, too much moving around up there and this will also make the bow less accurate.
What do the spacers look like and where do they go? This would be very helpful to know when I go to the shop.
