Default HCA Iron Mace String Issue

I went with the Iron Mace on a gut feeling. I love the bow, it is blistering fast. One pin out to 40 yards, blah, blah, blah. My issue is that the top cam is wearing out the string where it connects; 2 strings in a year and a half. Has anyone heard of this? Design flaw? I am definitely feeling the pain of no local dealer... I have bows that are 6 years old with their original strings, so I am at a loss. Any thoughts appreciated.
