You will pick up 1-3 fps with 65% modules.

I went down to the local shop and shot the RazorTec. 28-1/2" 440 grain arrow, loop and leaches at 68 pounds shot 265fps. I shoot with 2 nocks and a peep so this would probably bump it down to about 260fps.

The one I shot had the high let off cams. It shot very nice, with no jump or hand shock. But I have a couple of questions before I order one.

At full draw if you creep at all it jumps forward, Is this something you get used to with time?? (really started to tear on the shoulder)

When I order one should I take one from theshelf that accomidates my draw lenght, or special order one at 28-1/2" draw length??

I thought someone told me that it would be more efficient if I ordered it to my draw length. Can someone explain how many different modules there are and what works best??

Thanks All
Domonic

The cams come in 2.5 inch draw length increments. I have heard, but have not personally tested the theory) that if you get a module that is at the max for your drawlength (26 - 28.5 in your case) it will be the most efficient and the fastest.

I shoot a Razortec at 28.5, 72#s, 65% mods, 360 grain arrow (3D arrows) and get 284 fps. I was getting 281 fps with the 75% mods.

BTW, I have not noticed the small valley that you are describing, so I would say that yes, it is something you get used to . Compared to some of the Bowtecs and the Legacy I tested the valley is very long, but very short compared to some of the other bows out there.

Relamb

Thanks for the feed back. I am not sure, but I call it the valley. When at full draw on the wall if you start to creep forward the string wants to take off forward.

The RazorTec I shot, I was shooting my hunting arrows through it, I did shood one of my 3-D arrows that weigh 336 grains and it registered 301fps, I beleive that is what it said. I only shot this arrow once. I would probably have to take off 6fps for the peep and another 10 for the two knocks on the string. That would put it at about 285fps, pretty close to what you are getting.

Thanks again

I have some reasons I was getting lower readings. My draw length is even shorter than I thought--I' m at 26 1/2" --the bottom of the range--but it WAS in stock!! On the string, there' s a string loop with a nock above it, a kisser button with a nock on either side, a peep site and the two included string leeches. If I removed some of these " additions" , shot lighter arrows and increased my weight (the weight is increased now), I figure I would be in the 260 range.

I just bought a 50-60lb RazorTec. added a peep, nock and string loop. It is set on 63# and my draw length is set at 28. I am shooting a 26 1/2" carbon arrow that weighs just under 400 grains including the field point. My bow is graphing at about 243fps. It has the 75% let off modules.

I am just have a feeling that something is not right. I really like the bow, but I am disappointed with the speed.
