Default tuning arrows for fixed broadheads

When using 3 bladed fixed-blade broadheads is it necessary to align the blades with the fletching on the arrow or not?

You do not have to align the blades. However, I used to do it all the time with 3 blades. It can help with tuning issues though if you have large fixed blades. The blades can steer thearrows in wind. With the smaller profile heads that does not seem to be an issue though.

Plays no role. Doesn't matter where the blades are.

For the most part I say no. Ther are however certain circumstances where having all the blades aligned the same can be benificial. These tend to be with really larger heads that are difficult to tune. Even then it's not having the blades aligned with the fletching but rather having them all set up the same way on each arrow. On the other hand it doesn't hurt anything to try either.

No...get them spin tested, if they wobble when spun they are out of tune...this is essential to insure your arrows fly like bullets...if out of tune get a squaring tool (i.e. G5 makes one) to square off the insert so the bh fits nicely to the arrow this will make the arrow spin tightly

Try the G5 striker....very nice, shot right along side the rage-2.

My dad bought some of those last year and I did not find them to be very sharp. He had a new set that I thought he had shot through a Styrofoam target they were that dull. Also, the replacement cartridges are expensive compared to most replaceables because you are paying for the blades and the outer ferrule. ($20 compared to $9)I'd buy any of the following before the NAP Crossfire:

Fixed blades:
Slick Tricks
G5 Striker
Wack'em Triton or Exit
Wasp Hammer SST
Muzzy MX 3 or 4

Mechanical:
Rocky Mountain Snyper
Rage
Trophy Ridge Undertaker
