Low recoil bow?
#11
I haven't tried many different bows but out of the ones I have shot the commander has the least recoil I have ever shot......0 recoil.....I am impressed, when I first shot it I thought I was shooting my 7 year old daughters bow.....

I havnt shot alot of bows, but my 07 bear instinct has very little hand shock, really i dont even feel it. if your on a budget try looking at a newer martin or a bow from fred bear.

If you're shooting a bow that old, just about ANY NEW bow is going to feel REALLY nice!!!! That being said, if you haven't yet shot a parallel limb bow, you are in for a very pleasant surprise. I haven't shot the General or Commander, so I don't know about either of them, but I was disappointed in the Guardian. But, in all honesty, I think I was so thrown off by it's never ending draw cycle, I didn't even focus much on the re-coil because I was afraid it'd creep on me and it would be gone.
I haven't yet shot any 2008 bows, mostly because I've been busy, and I'm not really shopping now, but of all the bows I'd shot in 2005-2007, the ONE bow that felt the very best to me personally was a Reflex Ridgeline34. I liked it better than ANY bow I shot, but was just too CHEAP to buy one for $600. And I'm still yet to find one for sale used, so this must mean something.
LOTS of GREAT bows out there, shoot a few, and make a decision based on what your body tells you feels best.

I can't believe it. Somebody finally mentioned the term "parallel limbs". That is one of the main criteria for getting the vibration out. Brand A and Brand B or whatever doesn't really mean much. Decide how much you want to pay and go shoot "parallel limb" bows in your price range.
There are lots of decent bows in the $350-$500 range that would probably do all you want. Bows costing more than that are not really necessary, but that's your choice.
Try looking at something like a Martin Bengal, or better yet a MOAB. Both with MPro cam.

The Guardian, General, and Commander are all extremely Low Recoil.
You will be hard pressed to find anything that compares. The Center limb Pivot takesLow noise, and Low recoil of parallel limb Bows another step.
Shoot and Compare!
