Default Arrow wraps.

This may be a stupid question, or two, but how do arrow wraps adhere to the shaft? Peel and stick, soak in water? Also, do they add so much weight as to affect arrow flight as compared to a unwrapped arrow of the same type? What about FOC? Just wondering.

Peel and stick. How much weight they add depends on what size wrap you get, but generally they are between 4 and 9 grains. Will they take away from your FOC? Yes, but we're talking about 9 or 10 grains at the most here, negligable at best. We MIGHT be talking about a tenth of a percent or two, don't worry about it. In my experience, you need to change things by 25 grains or more to make any noticeable difference.

Clean the shaft with warm, soapy water, and hit it w/ denatured alcohol, they'll stick great. Oh, and use a mouse pad to roll the wrap onto the shaft.....Using a hard surface will guarantee wrinkles....

Thanks bro, appreciate the info. I've seen some real nice wraps from onestringer and was thinking about spending some loot on 'em. Now I can do it without worrying about it affecting anything too drastically.
