Rick, I grabbed a couple Spyderweb targets at the ATA show... I won't get them for a while, since I had to throw them on Pat's (Bowtech_Shooter) truck and I'll meet up with him next month when we work the Illinois Deer & Turkey Classic together.

I have no doubt that I'll be able to shoot in the basement with these though -- even with "pointy points" as Rob calls them.

But, in morrells defense. They are still the most durable game going.
Agreed.

And I wish I knew the name of the points on my ACC's. I really contribute most of it to these points. I'll have to look around.

Thanks much guys.

I use fairly "pointy points" on my Morrell Outdoor Range, but mine is suspended. I agree with what is mentioned earlier in this thread about the target absorbing a little more energy when there's some "give" upon impact. I've shot the middle two rows quite a bit, and not even a shaft has penetrated close to halfway yet. This is with ACCs as well. Not putting the KE out that Rob is with his Ally, but still.

Were your inserts the HIT type, or the regular ones with a little collar at the front? If it is the latter, I'm having trouble visualizing the insert getting loose from first being pushed back. But I could sure see the HIT inserts getting pushed back if the delrin ring had some compression. Only other explanation would be the the high density 3-D inserts were simply trying to hold onto the fatter field point while pulling the smaller diameter shaft out - causing the insert to, over time, pull out of the shaft.

Rob. I agree with Tfox. I found the perfect field points for my A/C Superslims with the Easton field points. A little harder to find, I suppose because they cost more than the field points usually found in most pro shops. But worth every penny IMO.
