Jennings Cracked Limb ??
My Husband has Jennings Uniforce 800R that is still like brand new that he rotates using amongst a number of other indoor shooting bows he has.(Mathews MQ1,Jennings Uniforce 800R,Jennings Carbon XLRS etc )
Two days ago he got the bow out and was getting ready to shoot it, he began to draw back and about 1/3 of draw back he heard a crack, so he let down slowly.
Upon inspection of the bow he found the bottom limb cracked on both sides of the limb, a few inches below the limb pocket. These are cracks around an inch long, they cracked horizontaly and then turned and started cracking vertically down the length of the limb.
We have e-mailed Jennings and have gotten no response yet(2days).
Jennings has previously replaced both limbs on this bow and replaced the riser,So this is basicly a new bow.
We are wondering how to handle this bow? We havent put it on the bow press to unstring it because we are afraid it will fly apart. For now we wrapped it in heavey plastic and put it the shipping box it came in.Were worried about leaving this bow loaded on the string.
How can we unstring this bow safely???????????

RE: Jennings Cracked Limb ??
If I'm thinking of the same bow you should be able to back the limb bolts off to relieve a lot of pressure. Then if you want to completely take the pressure off just take the cable off the cam. I would say that if you wrapped it in a blanket that'd control it if it does blow up.
