The guys at the shop built an arrow that weighed 2275 grains. They then shot it with a 60lb 28in draw dual cam Patriot through the chrono the speed was 119fps. They then proceeded to use an 85lb 29in draw hoyt defiant to shoot the same arrow through the chrono and got 135fps. Only 16fps gain with an increase of 25lb and 1in of draw. Really does not prove anything but it is kinda cool.

My calculator shows 71.5 ft lbs for the 60 lb BowTech and 92.1 ft lbs for the 85 lb Hoyt.

They made the arrow by starting with a 2512 puting a 2315, 2215, 2018, an old beaman carbon and 9ga. insulated wire, all into each other in that order then add a 185gr screw-in tip.

I think you're onto something there, Winger! Since the pro shops obviously have much spare time on their hands, sounds like right now is the time to get my bow in the shop to get it's annual check up.
