Default Single Pin HHA optimizer Sight Problem!!

My bro in law bought a new Drenaline and HHA sight we paper tuned the bow to shoot perfect bullet holes, but the slide to raise and lower the sight is already over halfway up at twenty yards! We already have the sight in the lowest holes that it can go in,I was wondering if he could raise or lower his peep to correct this,or if anyone else has had this problem and knows how to fix it. It's driving him NUTS!!!!!! Please respond if you know anything or have a suggestion thanks Drizzu213.

I'd like to see his anchor point, and does he have a loop? If he is using a release off the string below the nock, this could be causing the nock to be as much as 3/4" closer to the peep.......essentially the same as a super low peep position.

i had the same issue with mine, and it ended up being an overlooked mistake in setting up the bow.i'm no pro but it has to do with the rest or knocking point. i would put a square on it, and like "rick james" said it could be in the anchoring point.

Check your rest height and make sure your arrow is relatively level with your attachment bolt. Like everybody else has said it sounds like a low peep to me.

I had him draw the bow back, cause it's a MZE drop away, and the arrow sits dead center af the burger button at full draw>

Could you post a pic so we can see the bow at rest and at full draw.

I believe his problem is inherent with the HHA Optimizer. I had that problem on a PSE Scorpion and raising the knock and arrow rest only helped slightly. I have the same issue on my Guardian. I still have enough adjustment to shoot out to 50 yards and that's plenty enough for me. I won't ever shoot more than30 while hunting anyway.

I have plenty of stroke on my optimizer, but the head is on the lowest position.

Last time I ran into this isue with another bow/sight combo it was hard for me not to think the drop away was dropping too soon, allowing the arrow to shoot "down" towards the target instead of a more level starting point.
Removing length from the draw cord proved this to be true (my point of impact went up the longer the arrow was supported).

Not too sure you could check this with a MZE.

I doubt with Mathews "level nock travel" this would be too much of an issue, unless the cam isn't timed properly that is.

Set the block so when you sight in the 20 yd pin the indicator is as low as possible. You should start at the middle of the block and move either way.

The suggestion regarding the peep should be looked at as well. It can help just a litte.

My Vulcan has the sight block in the middle mounting location.
