my mother in law bought me a yardage pro 600 for xmas. it works pretty good but at long distances the view is not in focus. is this ok or should I sent it back

When you say long distance, do you mean further than it is capable of ranging, or is it out of focus within its ranging capabilities?

not clear at about 100 and beyond

Well, I'd say that it needs to be sent back. It should be in focus, for sure with in its ranging capability. You might try to call Bushnell also. Then go from what they say.
