Default Paper Tuning

I am shooting bullet holes at 8 ft. and I have a good grouping at 20 yds. The problem is my arrow is not sitting level on my rest. The point is a 1/2 bubble off towards the bow. Is this paper tuned correctly or is there a problem?

Is it that the arrow nock is too high or two low. or that the centershot is off (arrow angled left or right). i am confused because the 1/2 bubble indicates nock high/low, but the towards bow indicates a centershot problem.

Please explain.

not to judge your ability but paper tuning is only as good as the shooter doing the shooting, like i said no disrespect intended so please don't take any. i have seen a bow tuned by a pro and that shot bullet holes and then handed to another pro and ripped and handed to someone else and bullet hole again and so on and so forth. i would set centershot and height and try different hand positions on the grip and maybe different spined arrows until you achieve acceptable tears. gripping the bow is the number one factor in arrow flight if you ask me, just shoot your bow through paper with a high wrist grip and then with a low wrist grip and you'll see the difference right there on the paper.....

Good advice above. Also you should consider shooting through paper at more than one distance. All you have found is that it shoots bullet holes at 8 ft. What about 5ft or 15 ft.

sorry for the confusion rackattack. I should have said that my arrow is nocked high. i am shooting bullet holes but i am nocked high and would like to know if being knocked high is a problem? I am shooting well, so maybe being knocked high is ok. My center shot is fine. I will also try shooting it at other distances to see if i still get bullet holes at those distances as well. Hopefully, i will.

knock high is fine.....knock low and you have problems. every bow that i have ever tuned i've shot bullet holes through paper and my knock point was just a little high. years ago when i first started shooting and tuning my own equipment i use to ask and wonder the same thing about knock and center shot. i was fortunate enough to have a friend that was a pro shooter to get answers first hand. if you notice after you have what you consider a tuned bow and it shoots good through paper your knocking point will seem a little high. and if you check your center shot will be a little outside of the "true" center of the wheel string aliegnment.

you need to fall back on the saying "if it ain't broke don't fix it".
if you're shooting well and you have good clearance and not making contact anywhere leave it alone....from my experience slightly knock high is normal.
