Bowtech balance
I have only shot 2 Bowtech bows, the 2002 patriot and the 2002 Mighty Mite,so my experance is very limited. I bought the Mighty Mite and like the bow very much. It is very fast and manageable for such a short bow.The one thing I have noticed with both Bowtechs is the balance of the bows is different from anything I have ever shot, and that is a lot. It seems that anything you install on the bow makes a big difference in the balance.I put the Sims modular stablizer on, which weights 7.5 ozs. on my wife's postal scale, and it made the bow feel heavy and balance foward. I put an old dove tail sight on till I can decide what I want to buy and it made the bow feel top heavy.Am I just getting old and feble or has anyone else experienced this. I am a little leary of buying a sight and stablizer before trying them because of this. Does anyone have any suggestions for the Mighty Mite on a stablizer and sight. Thanks, Don

Don, as I'm sure you've noticed, I'm a fan of the Mighty Mite. I have a 7 1/2" (10 oz) Vibracheck Isolator on mine. The sight is an Impact Cosmic lite. The sight is very compact and light. I also have limb savers and whiskers installed. Maybe I don't pay enough attention, but the bow feels very neutral to me, and it remains so at the shot. It holds well and is a pleasure to shoot.

When I owned a patriot I had a simms enhancer 2000 in the rear stabelizer hole wiyh nothing in front it balanced very well with that setup .

Those bows (the patriot especially) have quite a bit of forward bias to start with compared to most other bows. Also, shorter bows ARE more sensative to putting larger sights on.
You may want to try a very light sight as pdq 5oh suggested, and a rearware facing stabilizer in addition to the normal one to help find YOUR balance for the bow.

Hey pdq 5oh, The bow balances pretty well with a small stablizer but it seems to feel heavy in my hand. This may be due to the Parker feather mag I have been shooting being very light.
Stelth_Force, I had thought about the back stablizer but unfortunely the mighty mite doesn't have a hole for a back stablizer. It does have a threaded hole on the lower part of the riser that I could put some type of weight but it would face to the side of the bow.

DoninVa, have you tried shooting without the grip? It really changes the feel of the bow and will give you a small amount more brace height. Racks7, I have the Satelite 4 arrow 2 piece quivers on both mine and my Wife's bows. They are very light and the camo matches the bow. I wish BowTech made a 4 or 5 arrow 2 piece<img src=icon_smile_cool.gif border=0 align=middle>.
