Default Mathews Rumors

Anyone heard the rumors about Mathews coming out with a new world's fastest speed bow that does 360 to 370 fps IBO ?
Or the new Flagship 3-D bow that Jeff Hopkins and others will be shooting in 2003 ? (Maybe a Conquest 3 )
That's the buzz going on at my local Pro Shop.
Just stirring the pot.
It's what I'm known for. LOL.

Sag-

360 - 370fps IBO, I'll believe when I see especially out a solocam, and if they come out with a dual to do that, they just ruined all the marketing they've done in the last who knows how many years telling everyone the solocam is the way to go. We'll know on Friday.

I hope they do. That way Bowtech can release their 400 fps Big Daddy and smoke 'em again!

425, Vic, not 400. LOL. 400 is already obsolete! Come to think of it, so is 425! We were shooting those speeds back in the 80's in our &quot;fastest bow&quot; contests! HAH, just run a 10 strand string, trim and shim the limbs, build cams that will rip your arm out with a draw curve that will make a young guy feel like he's 90, run a 5&quot; brace height, and shoot a 200 grain arrow at 85lbs! viola! Instant &quot;rat trap&quot;! <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle> Would be neat to be able to do it with over 7&quot; of brace height, IBO legal arrow, and a string and harness that doesn't look like it's going to blow every shot tho.

Mathews is gonna have to definately pull a rabbit outta the hat this year to keep up with what is being released by others IMHO, I mean Bowtech has the Patriot DC, Hoyt released the cam and a half, Browning with their system, Darton has made subtle changes to their CPS,etc, etc,.

AND there are even others that will release their new stuff on Friday that will definately be worth looking at, I'll be there playing with some of it in fact!<img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>

Yes, Sag, almost time! <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle> <img src=icon_smile_tongue.gif border=0 align=middle> <img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>

Kevin,

I have some 100 lb limbs on a Black Knight 2 that I'm sure would send one well into the 400's but my chrony isn't working at the moment.

It does, however, meet many of the criteria you listed above; my shoulders ache just thinking about it.

If Mathews does have one that fast, I'll be first in line to get one.
Loyalty is just a chronograph reading away.

Hi,

Mathews doesn't really need to come out with anything new.

Just tweak a little with what they have is good enough, they will continue to dominate for a long time.

Rather than spend R&D money, Mmmaaattt will just spend A&D money. Now I'm just having fun with Sag, so don't let your hats get too tight.<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_evil.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>
