Default Pivoting sight (not a pendulum) - does it work?

Will somebody with a little spare time research this sight and tell me why this is (or is not) a great idea. It looks like some kind of strange contraption, but they just might be onto something.

http://www.bowhunting.net/abc/sgf.html#top

Here's what they claim:

"Just as the compound bow revolutionized archery through the use of wheels and cams, the ABC Pivotal Bowsight (the Pivotal Bowhunting Sight System) has revolutionized the tree stand sight. The ABC-2000 Pivotal Bow Sight's mechanical advantage is its patented ‘Pivotally Cammed Pin’, a second pivoting point that causes the sight pin to move and significantly increase your effective shooting range, with only one pin! The pin movement of an ABC-2000 Pivotal Bow Sight allows shooters to be accurate from as close as right under their stand on out to at least 40 yards! And through proper adjustment, some shooters using fast set up (higher speed bows) will achieve 60 & 70 yards from a single pin! "

Is there anything out there from an existing sight company using this concept? Looks like something pretty innovative.

Here's a quote (that was probably paid-for) - so add salt:
"I've used pendulum sights, and they usually keep arrows inside a deer's eight inch chest zone from a high stand with a fast bow. Much better, in my recent experience, is the ABC Pivotal Tree Sight now available at archery stores. This is more complex than a simple pendulum sight, and requires intelligent adjustment. But once calibrated, the single aiming pin pivots reliably as shooting angle changes.
This is truly a dead-on sight that instantly dopes distance and shooting angle. It's accurate on deer size targets out to an amazing 60 and 70 yards from a reasonably high tree stand...farther than most bowhunters feel comfortable shooting at big game."

Well if Chuck Adams endorses it then it probably works. That being said it is just a higher tech version of a pendulum sight. I beleive there are other versions like this out, could be wrong though. I think I have seen a product simular to this by another company, but built much better. Even had the fixed pins and the pendulum type sight. I think it was savage, don't hold me to that though.

Looks kind of cheap and cheesy to me though, I don't know if I would want it on my bow.

I have never heard much about pendulums not working well, they are just noisy in most cases, I don't see this rest being much different. I would have to see one and look at before getting it. I sure wouldn't order one without holding it in my hand or seeing it mounted on a bow first.

You're right Paul ,it was the Savage QC Ranger Pendulum.

http://www.savagearchery.com/

It seems to work the same way as the savage , by calibrating it to the speed of your bow. The one pin works like a pendulum while the other 3 are fixed at preset yardage.(you set)

The QC(Quick Click)Ranger works on Bow Speed, Set on 20yds as a Pendulum or if shooting on the ground just click in the yardage your shooting at out to 70 yds also.
