I have only shot 2 pendulums, the mantis from trophy ridge and the new one i like right now the summitt hot dot... I like the mantis but i wish it had more fiber i've harvest deer with it... But right now i love my hot dot cause it does downward angles and uphill angles but it is electronic and thats not for everyone!! just my 2 cents

I gave this one a pretty glowing review of its pendulum features...

Which is the best pendulum sight out there?
[/ quote]I've have used several different pendulum sights over the years and all of them performed very well. I never have liked multible pins, too much to think about, and since I hunted strickly from a treestand it worked out great for me.The only thing is i could not shoot at ground level out pas t 30yds with consistancy. I now shoot a pendulam sliding pin combo that works great for me. Cobra makes them. I bought it last year and I think it was a prototype, don't know if they ever put them in production or not .

RE: Pendulum Sight
I've used pendulum sights in the past, while the fad was somewhat popular, years ago and I'm convinced that their need is seriously exaggerated.
With a modern bow rig, shooting even modest arrow speeds a standard fixed pin set up will work perfectly and I have seen NO advantages of a pendulum. Also, most pendulums are just plain noisy.

RE: Pendulum Sight
I would'nt call it a fad. There are some really great pendulums on the market today.Maybe you hav'nt shot the right one yet, mine works great and is very quiet, plus I have the option of shooting longer distances.
