ok so i see that wrapping your arrows is a fairly easy thing to do, my only question is how to you take them off and do you have to replace them everytime you re fletch?

yes they are easy to take off, if you are using aluminum then jsut heat the shaft in hot hot water and peel of, or use acetone. If using carbon then you cannot heat so much, use warm water to find teh seam and peel, or use a razoe and slice off. once a featehr gets messed up it is usualy best to refletch the entire arrow, jsut to keep it consistant.

A hair dryer works, but boiling hot water, placed into a pitcher or something similar, works even better.

Carefull there,boiling hot water and carbon arrows don't mix well,neither does soaking them in acetone.

I just use a homemadeZip Strip to remove and yes,you need to replace most everytime you refletch.

They are reasonably easy to strip off. I use a arrow stripper, then wipe with nail polish remover, 90% alcohol then scrub with scouring powder before I re-wrap. I also replace them every time I re-fletch. When I strip the fletch, the wrap splits off, so I take it all off. My opinion is it is better to strip it each time. Looks better and seems the right thing to do.

One more question. Is there a preferred position for the seam of the wrap to be? Top, bottom, side, or under one of the vanes?

Not sure it matters. You start rolling and the seam lie where it will. However, I do try to turn the nock so the seam does not fall on the fletch line. Why risk it.....

I always glue a vane right on the seam, just to help hold it together.

They sure look nice, is there much added weight?
