Peep sight? Should I use one or not?

I have tried them off and on and they definitely will help shrink your groups, especially at longer distances. I had a ton of problems hunting with them so I rarely did. But since I started shooting 3D again I tried one last year for hunting.......again and it finally came together. Having the peep to be in perfect rotation is crucial and the shop drilled the hole out even bigger.

If you don't have one now, try shooting and evaluate the results. If you're on target to your satisfaction, you don't need one.
It took me months of experimenting with different anchors, until I found one that I could nail everytime, and quickly. From that point, my peepless shooting became much more accurate. For me, it was worth the practice.

Hey Glockman,
I have a trick you might like. Put a knock where the string touches your nose. I rotate it so the "seam" of the knockis out and touches my nose. It is rougher and allows more feel. Then kiss the kisser button goodbye!! No more fumbling to find it through your mask or pulling your mask down and risking getting busted. It is lighter, too. It is a tad more consistent as an anchor point all the way around!

i took mine off and used it with a bow anchor sight(like a no peep)--am very confident out to 35 yrds for the kill zone. you see so much more without one especially in low light. give it a fair chance as long as you have the confidence and the same anchor pt it will work out fine. nows the time to give it a real try.
