RE: 07 Allegiance Problem

Well fellas, its approaching the 2 week mark and still no limbs from Bowtech. To say I'm a little disapointed is an understatment. I posed a question on AT regarding the length of time for warrenty parts. WWAG said two weeks. I was hoping he was either being conservative or was wrong.

I'm hoping this is worth the wait, however, I was in the middle of shooting league scores when this came about. I really enjoy shooting my Bowtech's and love seeing them prosper and grow. But man, if they can't get a customer's warrenty parts out any quicker than that......

I really hope I'm not being unreasonable. I'm pretty sure my shop did get in touch with them Monday evening. I try being as understanding as possible. But I honestly think 2 weeks to get parts is a little too long IMO.

dave, on my consti, when the limbs got replaced to correct that very issue, i put the smallest spacers available on that side to make sure it didn't happen again. i tried to tell you guys about this last year...
Oh I remember your warning[8D] and also remember checking mine at the time you posted. At that time I still had an air gap on both sides of each cam, now I don't.
So, if I get the limbs replacedI need to have the smallest of nylon washers installed on the rubbing side.
When you say small, are you talking thin & tiny on the diameter or just thin?
- Will this create friction between the cam & washer?

Here's a copy/paste of what I said on AT;

"I'll bet it will be a few weeks,, they are VERY busy with all the new products and getting them to the dealers that are wanting to close many sales orders. I know that you've bought one of their new model bows, but it's just the way it will probably be for a while. Can't you keep shooting the bow until the parts get in? It was a cam slightly rubbing the inside of the limb right?" Note that I said "I'll bet". This is in no way a time quote form BowTech and is only my guess on how long it MIGHT take based on my very limited experience with BowTech's customer service. I don't work for Bowtech so I really can only take a guess, offer support for your wait and offer a suggestion on what to do. If it were my bow and I was missing out on shooting a league with it, I'd just shoot it and let it keep rubbing until more wear started to show. I'm sure you are disappointed but it won't help to create all this buzz about an issue on two forums that is being taken care of,, as far as we know. I might even have an issue with my new Guardian after I get it but I won't be involving others with my plight in resolving it with BowTech,, should it happen. ;)

I personally think Bowtech would keep getting my bow back until they resolved it. You should not have to place washers etc. in there. If there needs to be washers, let Bowtech do it. Paying as much as these bows cost and having to modify something right out of the box is uncalled for.

Its sort of like buying a car and havnig to install lug nuts to drive it.

Like buying good quality string and cables to put on a brand new bow that came out of the box with junk on it?:D

RE: 07 Allegiance Problem

WWAG, as I said there, why in the world would you want to shoot a bow that had cams hitting the limbs?

Maybe you're correct that I shouldn't have made a post over there. However, that post, to the best of my knowledge was trying to an idea of expected wait time. I don't recall ever quoting your 2 weekstatement, however I do apoligize for not being clear that you were simply suggesting a time frame.

I try to be fair and I don't think I'm being too unreasonable about this issue. Admitingly, I'm not a very patient person when it comes to things like this, its something Iam working on.;)As I said many, many times, I love my Bowtech's and will continue shooting them, no questions asked. I am very pleased to see they are growing at such a fast rate.

Since this thread obviously ruffled some feathers, I will not comment any longer on the issue, as I did on AT.

MM88, please go on giving updated info on your situation. Because of your post, many other Bowtech owners have been enlightened, & may also now have discovered flaws in their bows. Like u said, an awfull lot of $$ 2 have it repaired in such a short time out of the box. We may be having the same problems& someone may have a contact or away to resolve these issues more quickly. Unless we discuss these issues, how will important info get out 2 everyone. So, by all means, please continue to update. The squeakest wheel gets the grease.

Quite an unfortunate situation and now looks like Muzzy is putting it to bed--at least on this forum.
I can quite understand his frustration over having a new bow and not being able use it.
I myself would not be able to focus on a shot properly knowing fully well that my cam is touching my limb every time I draw and release my bow. Maybe it all physiological. But for me, shooting my bow means, my equipment and myself should at least be in good shape. Otherwise my concentration & focus falls off badly.
I would say it all 'patience' from here, a major part ofa hunt as well!!!
I'm sure it will all be resolved, don't go ragging yourself over something you have no control over--give it time.
Unfortunately, some of us pay the price for others in this world.

RE: 07 Allegiance Problem

muzzy, by all means keep us in the loop as to what is going on with your problem. I found no Bowtech bashing in any of your posts and a little info on how they react toowarrenty service is a good thing. If they produce a top end product and charge for a top end product you would expect good service. I feel 2 weeks is not out of the norm, however if it goes toofarpast that, well I would be one the phonewith Botech because someone dropped the ball. I only have about 70 arrows thru my new Ally and thanks to your post I will be paying close attention to mine.

I can say boy do these things shoot sweet.:)
