RE: 07 Allegiance Problem

Sounds like an unfortunate trend.

Even my Guardian's cams are really close. Not as close as the Allegiance, but close. I am going to gut it out until its gets really bad. So far no contact.

RE: 07 Allegiance Problem

The unfortunate part of my original post is that some people are now noticing thier bows are like mine. I didn't intend it that way. However, it appears that its something that may need addressed out there. I personally feel its not a design flaw, its a production flaw. I thought Bowtech was supposed to do all of these checks and balances on the bow before it leaves the factory. If thats the case, this sort of thing should be a rarity IMO.

I realize they are probably working like mad trying to meet the demand at this point. However, if you can't keep up with that demand, you might want to hire additional personnel. This is purely speculation however, so dont' read too much into it. Just food for thought.

I just e-mailed bowtech to get their take on how serious my lack of cam to limb air gap is in their opinion. (it's rubbing that nub they placed on the end of the limb, but not enough to mar the paint)

Got an e-mail back saying
"If they’re rubbing I would take it in and have the dealer contact our Warranty Dept. to get the proper repair authorization."

So there I have it:(.

Where is it rubbing? On the caps on the limb forks?

RE: 07 Allegiance Problem

i believe they're referring to the forks walks.

gibblet, I can't speak for DaveC, but mine was rubbing slightly down toward the v in the fork. It was slight, but it was at one point rubbing there. The cam itself was close enough that you could barely get a couple peices of paper between it and limb. Oh well, hopefully it gets corrected soon and I can get back into it.

"(it's rubbing that nub they placed on the end of the limb, but not enough to mar the paint)" from above^

Mine is only rubbing at the caps.
No cam to limb contact.

Today I tried wedging a piece of dental floss in between the cam & cap and could only do so on 2 sides (one top & one bottom).

Is this acceptable?

dave, on my consti, when the limbs got replaced to correct that very issue, i put the smallest spacers available on that side to make sure it didn't happen again. i tried to tell you guys about this last year...
