Does it feel like the rubber is all the way seated on the bar?

can you go back to the shop? and have someone check everything out, watch you shoot, and see if they can determine what's causing it.

You can still induce torque to your bow's grip, even without grabbing the grip if your hand position is not correct,, on the particular grip of the bow.


Remember that I said "if" you are torquing the grip..

i went back to the shop and he said there is a simple fix. he said if i loosen the two screws holding the sts system in place and turn the end a little so that it is further to the right(side it is slipping off of) and then retighten the screws it will fix the problem. this would simply move the rubber end to the right so that it cant slip off the right side anymore. do yall see any downsides to this suggestion?

another question, do i need the string to be touching the sts when the bow isnt drawn, or should there be a little gap of space in between?

i honestly dont know. All i did for my arrows was buy a dozen super carbon arrows draw back and mark the length right in front of the riser, and have a local pro shop cut them with an arrow saw and glue in inserts. I later wrapped then with ezecrest wraps and fletched them with blazer vanes. how can i check if my arrows are spined correctly?

What brand of arrows are you shooting and what are the numbers on them, the poundage your bow is set at , and how long are the arrow. Also what grain points are you shooting.

As far as having a gap or a little space, different users feel differently about that topic. A lot of people do indeed like their string to touch the absorber at brace (rest), but some have found that it's quieter on STS-type systems by leaving a very small amount of air there.... It's just something that you'll have to experiment with. It'll give you something to do over the summer.

well i have two more weekends to try and stick a doe, and since my bow is shooting great groups right now im not gunna mess with it till after jan 17. i think ill use your advice greg and experiment to see which is quieter. hopefully moving the rubber end will solve it, but thanks for all the help from everyone.

as far as my arrows go, they are Super Carbon Magnum Arrows made by Parker. I shoot 100 grain muzzys. i cant find info on these arrows anywhere, so cant tell ya that. my vectrix is set at 29" DL and 61-63#. the arrows are 28 5/8" from tip of nock to the tip of the insert.
