String Supressor Problem pics included
 

OK, i just bought this vectrix this month and have shot it less than 100 times. i started noticing that every couple of shots, the string wouldnt hit the sts system where it should, it would slip off the side and get stuck there until i pulled back the next time. i also noticed that on these shots the arrow was thrown off. well heres the pics any help on how to fix or whats wrong in the first place would help.

is this bad? is there any way of sliding the sts over so that the string wont slide off the side? does anyone else have this problem?

I would have thought that a flat stopper would be better than a cupped one like pictured. If your bow is not tuned or you are torquing the bow, you might end up with the problem shown. If the nock is not following the point of the arrow, the string osciallation (sp) might be greater enough to not land squarly in the cup of the stopper and bounce out.

iknow this is the "technical" forum but i dont realy understand. Torquing my bow means gripping it tightly or at an angle, correct? the other situation describes a rest not being properly set up, correct?

i didnt set up my wb, my pro shop did using one of those laser squaring devices. as far as the torquing goes, i hold my bow with my fingers open so i am really not gripping the bow at all.

correct me if im wrong in any of this, because i need to fix this. is it bad on the string?

I have a Vectrix and honestly don't see how that could even happen. The strength you'd need to torque the bow enough to do that you'd definately notice. I can't exactly tell, but in your pics your cables look crossed or twisted. It could just be the picture angle.

heres another pic. idk how the cables could be crossed because i got the bow the day after my dealer got it from the factory.

what would you reccomend doing then? it only does it once outta 4 or 5 or 6 shots, but still needs to be fixed i think.

Are you a fingers shooter or do you usea release? If you shoot fingers, a bad release could make your string do some funny things. If you use a release I wouldn't have a clue.

i use a release, i tried fingers on my old bow just for kicks and giggles and couldnt shoot 2 foot groups. i have used a release on every shot that came out of this bow.

From that picture your cables look fine. I don't know what could cause the problem your having. It doesn't make sense Check the whisker bisquit
