A good piece of rope with a loop tied in it to loop under the stabilizer works well. My personal preference is 550 parachute cord. The sling should be there to catch the bow in case your grip is too loose. Many of the store bought slings put pressure on the wrist and impact your shooting form. Play it cheap and you will be better off.

Are you talking about a shoulder sling to carry the bow? If so I have tried many and they all seem to let the bow hit your treestand while walking so I juse carry the bow when packing and will use it when not. Mine is the type that slips over both cams and comes off quickly if you need the bow. If you are talking about a wrist sling then none of this helps
