Yes I have. My first bow I bought I did just that, a Jennings Uniforce. Good luck.

Yep, I shoot for a Pearson sales rep and do it every year. After shooting thse stupid wheel bows I can pretty much decipher what willshoot for me and what won't. And if it won't I just pick another one.

I've been shooting bows since the mid 1970's and like to think that I'm a fairly experienced archer. Even though I can take any bow and set it up for myself, I ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY WOULD NOT buy a bow without shooting it first (not necessarily the exact bow I'm buying, but at least the same model).

Yes I have. In one case based on the manufacturers reputation as well as the specs, in another based on specs and comments from places like this board. So far so good. But I buy (and sell) several bows a year for the fun of it. Others find it more fun to carefully investigate bows before making a purchase that will suit them for years.

Yep!!! I ordered the Patriot sight unseen. At this point in my bowhunting career that I can take feedback from the forums coupled with pictures and specs and know whether or not I will like the bow. However, I knew the moment I got my Bowtech(having never heard the Patriot mentioned before) that the Patriot was the bow I had been waiting on.

Yes I have, held but not shot and NO I wouldn't do it again.
The reason I say that is last week I pulled a possible new bow candidate back and the draw curve was so terrible I put it back on the shelf real quick. The "pro" on hand said it was set at 70#, but it felt like 70# from the first tug of the string all the way until it broke over.
Now I know I must draw one back to feel how good or bad it draws before buying.

I'm in year 2 and I'm not sure. I bought my Champion Titan on ebay with only a pic as a guide last year. I love the bow, but I think as new as I am I just got used to it and I don't know any better. I'll be looking for another brand after the 1st of the year

Honestly there's hardly any difference. I think about everybody on here's "reccomendation" is...Go to a pro shop to get set-up. I don't want to think how I'd be shooting if I hadn't!

NO!...lol....

I'm just trying to get some input from the boards to relay to my dealer about this subject...I'm trying to talk him out of it because I see where there is too big of a risk of problems for the customer buying the equipment.
