On page 49 of the 2006 Cabela's Archery Catalog are two products I'm interested in. The first is the Windstalker Cable Guard. It looks like a neat system. What are your thoughts? ANyone use this one their bow?
The other product is the STS System. Also a neat looking product. My bow does not have a rear mounting hole, so I would have to buy the front-mount. However, I'm shooting a 33 inch ATA, and it says to use the double weight STS. They don't offer the double weight in a front mount. Again, what are your thoughts? Anyone use this item on their bow?

Can't help you on the Winstalker but I can tell you the STS works well. Too bad you don't have a rear stabilizer hole, I could direct you to some custom made ones that don't have to use the big bulky mounting bracket.

STS works great I have used just the single on short ATA bows with no problem. Contact meanv2 on archerytalk and he will custom make one cheaper than you can buy one from cabelas also he can have it dipped in several different camo colors! Of cousre it will cost a few bucks extra to have it dipped.
Windstalker seems ot work ok but to say it is worth having over a standard cable guard I don't know I have one on my Pro40 and didn't notice much difference. It was a LITTLE smoother.
Also a lot of people have reported escessive cable and string wear where the windstalker contacts them. I think SOME of that is do to improper installation which can be a pain. Do a search over at archerytalk and you will get a lot of info on both products.
