Thanks for the clarification Greg.

I am very satisfied with this bow. It has that authoritative feeling upon release and, again, the accuracy level has proven to be excellent. I tried to chrono it last night but the indoor lighting kit on my setup needs to be replaced.

Maybe this afternoon while it is still light out.

Guys, I love my 05 Diamond Victory. I shoot a 411gr arrow at 271fps. That is at 65# and 29". I have considered shooting a Black Ice. Will I really notice much difference ya think? How 'bout it Ausie? You shot the two of them is it a big upgrade?

I am not Aus, but I did own both bows. There is a noticeable difference in shot feel between the two. The Black Ice has less recoil/vibration in the shot and holds on target a bit better in my hands. The latter may be the result of several factors not necessarily the difference between the two designs but I thought it worth mentioning regardless.

My thought mirror Franks so yeah if you are thinking about doing an upgrade go ahead and test the Black Ice out I am sure you will be pleasantly surprised.

There seems to be quite a bit of color variation in the pattern as well; mine is almost solid black in a lot of places (which worked out well because I put all-black accessories on the bow. First time I've ever done that, but it looks sharp!).

I picked up a couple Black Ices in the Cabelas store in Kansas City this past week, and they had TONS of green in them, and even the sideplates on the grip were comprised of laminations of green... They were truly beautiful bows.

I shot it about fifty times today and got the strings pretty well shot in... Started having to shoot at different spots after I got 'er dialed in. Stripped two feathers off right away by grouping so close... that reminds me; I need to refletch those tonight so I'll have some ready to go for tomorrow's hunt.

Pics or it didn't happen! Glad to see you all are loving the new Black Ice. I was contemplating that bow as one of the three possible for my 2007 bow. Decided to go with the Guardian, but the Black Ice still appeals to me.
