inexpensive Arrow Saw - Does it work?
There are a few of these arrow saws on Ebay - Has anyone used one. I'd probably cut about a 1-2 dozen a year. Seams like it work well for that for the price $27. But if its total junk I'm not interested. Any opinions would be helpful, THNAKS. Here is a link...

I may have gotten a bad one, but I didn't care for it at all. It is set up like a miter saw, and when I cut arrows like that, I got a bad "whiskering" of fibers on the down side that could not be cut or finished off. I even got a 1/32" thick blade for it and it didn't really help. I much prefer the carbide cut off wheels and a Dremel tool. The best I've found is a 1.5" diamond wheel. That thing really zips through the arrow. It is simply a matter of making a jig that lets you control the arrow length and cut.

I would find out the RPM of the cut off if you're going to cut carbons. Then find out from your carbon manufacturer minimum cut off speed. Should be fine for aluminums. If it's fast enough, it sure seems like a good deal.

they are 8000 rpm saws and plenty fast enough. i spun my arrows after cutting 3/4 of the way thru and that cured the 'fibering' i was experiencing cutting all the way straight thru.
you will have to make a jig to use w/ it.
that said, i got a nice apple cut off saw, and its about 100 times faster and easier to use.

I use one also and as gibblet said, you should spin the arrow while cutting to get a true cut and to eliminate problems with carbon "fibering". I do prefer to use an apple saw, however this is the same saw I have at the house and it works decent.

mine dies down as you cut and splinters the end of the arrow if you dont go through smooth enough. buy the one from cabelas for $100 had a lot of nice features and cuts excellent.
