I wax mine every other time I shoot. Your owners manual should tell you how often. Any silicone based wax would work great on synthetic fiber strings. I use Bohning as well.

I wax mine before and after every time I shoot. I use a 3" piece of leather to help heat the wax into the string. To each their own I guess but my string is never dry.

i just want to add that you should not heat the string between your fingers when applying wax (or with leather). you should apply a silicon wax on gently after shooting when needed, then gently wipe any excess off before the next time you shoot. heating the string actually pulls wax out of the string. melted wax will run away from the tension its under. what you're looking for w/ todays string materials is a protective coating on the outside, and the silicon to have time to seep into the fibers on the inside of your string.the heat and friction created when briskly rubbing will damage the fibers also.

no problem. i didn't mean to say leather was a bad way to do it, just don't get the string hot. with the older materials that was fine, but these newer one are a bit daintier.
