I have a digital pocket scale and was surprised to see the varience with field tips . Broadheads seemed to be more alike . Bullets were pretty much on the money ! The scales are accurate . The field tips aren't exact !

Played with my scale Greg, your right Muzzy's weighed in at 97 grains, RM Snypers too, 97 grains, field tips, 100 grains, Blazers 6 grains...my ACC's setup with 100 grain field tips, 381 grains, with Snyers, 378 grains...

Hole through my next whitail.....PRICELESS.

ORIGINAL: mauser06

how much will a a few grains REALLY matter in real life typical 40yd or less hunting range though?? im new to archery so i dont know...maybe it does make a huge diffrence...maybe you guys are being a bit finicky! lol.
5 or 10 grains makes almost no difference in POI. At 20 yards, the drop difference wouldn't even be worth measuring - less than 1/8" if shooting around 260 fps. The difference in drop from 20 to 40 yards would only be about 1/5" at 260 fps. Anyone worried about this kind of variance, is worried about the wrong things.

These types of small differences make absolutely no significant difference for any hunter. Unless I'm target shooting 60-90 meters, I would consider it a waste of time to try and get arrows to within a grain or two of each other.
