Default Grain vs Draw Weight

I am currently shooting a bow with a lighter draw weight ( around the 50 lb range) and i am shooting 125 grain field pts. i was wondering if accuracy or speed would change if i switched to 100 grain field pts. would it make it go faster? new to the sport and looking for some helpful tips. Thanks

It would go faster and as for the accuracy I'm not to sure. I would imagine that your arrows would go further and you would have to move your pins up.

Yes, you will gain some speed, but not a really noticeable amount. You would probablly gain about 7 f.p.s. which isn't going to be noticeable! I would say that you just keep the 125 grain heads and the set-up as it is, as long as it is comfortable for you. The heavier arrow will carry more energy down-range than a lighter arrow, plus the 125 head will up your F.O.C. meeting which is usually low if you use a 100 grain head on carbons!!!!!
