Blazers on 2117's? Vane too small?
I was thinking of switching to Blazers the next time I fletch up some arrows, or some smaller QuikSpins. But I didn't know if they would work with my logs. 26.25" 2117s weighing in at a hefty 510grains. What do you think?

With our extensive testing at the shop, heavy, fast arrows are where the Blazers just don't cut it. Your, for our purposes, qualify as heavy. If you are shooting under 270 fps, you may be ok though. Tell you what, either contact Bohning and they will send you some samples, or pm me your contact info and I'll send you 6 so you can try them.

RE: Blazers on 2117's? Vane too small?
I already have one fletched up with three Blazers from last summer. But I just dont know how to proficiently test them, to see if they work good or not. I figured guys on here would know if they would work or not.
Thanks anyway though!
I need to take it to the pro shop, and throw them through the chrono and compare them to the QuikSpins I got at full right helical. Big parachutes, I know.

i tried them this spring on a axis ST's and really couldn't tell any difference over a 4" feather which i shoot now. the thing with these vanes is that if you make a small error while shooting it will relate greater to the arrow as compared to are larger vane or feather. i would recommend shooting a 4" feather for broadheads on big game...
