Default How to tie serving? I also heard floss was ok?

I am tired of having to go to a shop bec I want to move my peep or have something done on my bow. I have ordered some serving, but I really don't know how they tie it. Can anyone help?

Also, in the interim, I used dental floss. Is this ok?

Thanks for the help!

PS: My area is a lot safer with the sniper caught! Thank God!

Are u reserving your bow or just tying stuff in? Tying peeps and stuff is easy, on peeps, just use a "slip peep." All u do is take two pieces of braided serving about a foot and a half long, take one over and thhe other one under the peep and start tying over under nots. Go about 6 times over and double knot it, really simple. As for reserving, its kinda tough. I recomend a double layer of fast flight serving. U have to be taught how to do it though, its tough to explain. Theres a book at wally world called "bowhunting", its with those catfish and bass books they sometimes have there and thers a picture of a guy glassin on a rock. It has a how to part on reserving and tying stuff thats kinda good. U might wanna check it out.

I love this site so much that I have to be logged on under two names (forgot about the first one and had to re-register).

I actually used the first post about a nail knot and what I saw when they tied my peep in the first time. Worked like a charm.

Thanks! You guys have helped a lot.
