Default String coming loose

Sorry, I can't remember the technical term for the string that wraps around the bowstsring where I nock my arrows.

Anyway, it seems to be coming loose. It's not really coming off but I can slide it in little increments up and down the string. I can also slide my nock up and down ever so slightly.

Is this ok?

Default RE: String coming loose

That is called the center serving, and no, it is NOT OK to be able to move it, or your nock. At the least, it will affect your point of impact vertically, it could move enough to totally ruin the tune on your bow. Get to a pro shop, and have it reserved.
