Just curious of what your thoughts are on the Gold Tip 3-d select ics carbons, specifically the 7595s? Do they have spine or tolerance issues you've found prevalant in other ics carbons?

RB,
Heh...you've two different arrow's confused. 3D Selects are Carbon Express. 3D Pro's are by Goldtip <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
Yes I ahve shot the 3D Pros. I think they are among the best IC Carbons out there. I have one size 55-75 arrow w/ unibushing I've had for 2 years now, that I cannot seem to destroy no matter what abuse I put it through.
IMO Goldtips are the best durability-wise that I have tried. The 3D Pro's are quite consistent as well about equal of the C/X 3D Selects.
I do have some things I don't like.
1) Factory Lock Nocks let me put this frankly, suck. Install uni-bushings and G-nocks. Warning ACC 3-60's are a bit too small. Goldtip makes thier own, I suggest you try them.
2) I still get a flyer or two from each dozen..typically a spine issue.
Weights have been very good, and straightness consistency seems a touch better than the C/X Selects on average (and it is measured across the entire shaft on the 3D Pro vs. 28" on the 3D Select). Admittedly though, it's been quite some time since I bought a new dozen of the GoldTip 3D Pro's, so it's possible they have improved (or worsened)
I don't care much for the lessor quality shafts Goldtip makes, but I've no problem with the 3D Pro's. Prices are pretty good, durability is excellent (especially with a uni-bushing), and tolerances are pretty good.

What, me? Confused? Bah...
Thanks for the info. I'm leaning towards the high end gold tips. I've shot GT for the past 4-5 years, only broke one, and it was sticking out of a 300# 11 pointer when he fell and rolled down a hill
Only problems is I'll have to buy a dozen, as no one around here stocks the 7595s. Oh well.
