I do love speed that is why i shoot a BOWTECH PATRIOT . an arrow that travels at 300 fps and is 350 grns has more energy than the same arrow at 255 fps. But niether are any good if you are not accurate. I say 255 is very acceptable for his set up. Your bow is on the verge of dry firing @74lbs the lightest arrow you should use is 370gr.5gr per pound of draw.You may want to reconsider.
