Great topic.

Some things that did not pan out for me:

-Bowmaniac Stabilizer -- looked fantastic, didn't meet my expectations in performance.

-Drop away rest (in general), I still use my ARC, buy have since gone back to regular rests on all my other bows. Anytime you have to change anything with most dropaways, it is very difficult to get it to come up and drop exactly as you had it before.

-Stan Rattler head -- makes the release too long and I found other BT head to work better.

-API treestand -- really liked it until I got my Lone-wolf Alpha climber.

-Morrel ss target bag. Bags cannot take repeated arrows in the same place -- shoot throughs happen rather quickly, Can't shoot many 5-spot or 3-spot games.

-Single cam bows (I still have 1 and still use it for hunting). The only benefit they have that I can see is they tend to be a little quieter.

I tried a Whisker Biscut arrow rest for about an hour. Although it works and the arrow can't fall off, I thought it was noisy and too hard to get an arrow on the string. For hunting, a second shot opportunity might be lost in the effort. I gave it to my 10 year old nephew, which IMO I think it is designed for. For 30 bucks, at the time, I think I wasted a lot of money.

1)Bear Delta V--that thing was where I coined my phrase "rat-trap". It was the first one!

2) ADI Bullet bow-- Most hand-shock of any bow I've ever shot.

3) Solocam bows in general-- Len hit a couple of points above, It would take me much too long to go through it all again.

4)Pultruded carbon arrows--All fibers run lengthwise of the shaft, and it hot weather they lose their spine very quickly. That is why manufacturers now make them biased-wrappped. I lost a major Tournament one year because of them failing in 110 degree heat.

5)Fiber-optic sights that you cannot see in low light conditions--there are many.

6)Back tension releases set too light.

7) Fall-away rests of any kind. "trinkets for the annex".

8)Carbon monster target. "GONE IN SIXTY SECONDS"!

9) Mechanical broadheads in general. Haven't found one yet I truly trust. More "trinkets for the annex"

10)Whisker-biscuit rest. No, that doesn't do anything to the flight of the arrow when it goes through it!

Many more, but it's a start. Good shooting, Pinwheel 12

Hmmmm, I will have to go through my box of goodies for this one.

First, Reflex Extreme solo-cam bow. I bought it on a whim and no matter how hard I tried I could not get it to shoot for me.

TRU Ball Loop Master release. Resulted in the worst case of target panic I have ever had. Even on the lightest setting you had to use quite a bit of pressure to trigger the release.

Pucketts Blood Trailer broadheads. It is scary that a product like this can last on the market.

At the risk of incurring the wrath of many I will include this one...

Bowtech Patriot. While this bow was a pleasure to shoot in terms of lack of hand shock, quietness, and speed, I could never get the consistency I expected out of this bow. For me it was either feast or famine with it. One day I would shoot it so well I felt like I could go win Vegas with it. The next I'm wondering what the hell I'm doing wrong at 20 yards. I'm not saying it is a bad bow, because it obviously shoots well by some of the results I got with it. It just didn't shoot well for me on a consistent basis. I really wanted that bow to work for me, but since I was using it primarily for hunting it was not worth the risk of one of the wild shots I had with it being on a deer, so it has gone to a better home. I now am having wonderful success back with my faithful 2001 Hoyt Vortec.

Bowfanatic tries desperately not to respond to Pinwheels whisker biscuit crack , but fails to do so What was your wb problem pinwheel If theres any consolation , I agree with the solocam deal

I also made the mistake of buying a chuck adams super slam rest , because I figured if it had his name on it , it had to be good
I sent the pieces back to cabelas the following day.

c903 , you thought of starting this thread , surely you must have had some failures to post
