RE: "Now for the rest of the story."
Hmmmm, I will have to go through my box of goodies for this one.
First, Reflex Extreme solo-cam bow. I bought it on a whim and no matter how hard I tried I could not get it to shoot for me.
TRU Ball Loop Master release. Resulted in the worst case of target panic I have ever had. Even on the lightest setting you had to use quite a bit of pressure to trigger the release.
Pucketts Blood Trailer broadheads. It is scary that a product like this can last on the market.
At the risk of incurring the wrath of many I will include this one...
Bowtech Patriot. While this bow was a pleasure to shoot in terms of lack of hand shock, quietness, and speed, I could never get the consistency I expected out of this bow. For me it was either feast or famine with it. One day I would shoot it so well I felt like I could go win Vegas with it. The next I'm wondering what the hell I'm doing wrong at 20 yards. I'm not saying it is a bad bow, because it obviously shoots well by some of the results I got with it. It just didn't shoot well for me on a consistent basis. I really wanted that bow to work for me, but since I was using it primarily for hunting it was not worth the risk of one of the wild shots I had with it being on a deer, so it has gone to a better home. I now am having wonderful success back with my faithful 2001 Hoyt Vortec.
