just say no to paper tuning.
I find it useful. I like to use it to see if my initial settings (by eye) are close. I can also check hand torque using it. I also like getting my nock height set with it. I find walk-back tuning very useful for left and right adjustments, but not so easy to interpret for nock height.

I went to HD and bought 3 lengths of 1" pvc,8 -30"pcs, 4 @15", 6 elbows and 4 t's. Less than $10.

This might work, Then just some wire and clothes pins. Poster paper works better than newspaper. That was my dartboard, replaced it with a bracklyn.

I was standing between 4&6', I was told that I should stand further with these new fast bows shooting carbons. But I'm pleased with the results.

Not a waste of time here. After 15 years of managing and working in pro shops, providing it's done right, paper shooting is the preferred method I use. I always check with walk-back, but rarely have to change anything.

Paper tuning is like bore-sighting a rifle. Gives you a starting place. Not somethingI do very often but it's a handy place to start with a new setup. Walk back is a good next step then it's SPC from there.

I just take two brooms or rakes and lean them against the tailgate of my truck with newspaper taped between them. Put a target a few feet behind the paper in the truck bed and you're good to go. (Just don't miss the target!)
