Default Stinking Mathews!

I took an A$$ whoopin` at a local 3-d course yesterday! Granted, I did shoot the comp. pegs with my hunting rig, ya know...1/4" peep, huge .030 pin, no scope or big stabilizer, but I shot good. 384 on a 40 target course, no 12`s. I figured that would do it at a local shoot. NOPE! Some wiseguy turns in a 390 with 18X`s, two more than my 16X. He was shooting one of those brand X bows, he called it an MQ1. I don`t think he was cheating, cause he shot in my group.
I guess I gotta check them brand X bows out.

LOL, talk about a title that will get some looks!

I'm going to step out on a limb here, and suggest that maybe the shooter behind the bow, had something to do with the score. I'm even going to suggest that if you were really unlucky, there could have been a shooter there with a PSE Nova that could have whipped your butt. If there was, would you have to go out and get a Nova?

(I'm not picking on the Nova, just choosing a popular low-end bow. In fact, I was reading somewhere that a person won a major tournament using a Nova.)

Yea, I know what you mean. I use to watch this guy play basketball(on TV) named Michael Jordan and he was a really awesome basketball player because he wore NIKES. Funny thing though I bought a pair of NIKES and never did play as good as him. I never could understand it. I guess we are all just lucky that Mike found those NIKES or we wouldn't have got to enjoy all that good basketball.

That is funny though. I picked up a pair of those Nikes and my game got so much better.

Is it the shooter or the equipment? Both. Everybody has potential but it takes confidence in your equipment to fully realize it.

You got me too...

I was all ready to jump on with smiles & a hearty laugh while I hold my BowTech Patriot - alas it's not to be...

I shoot with a bunch of Mathews shooters and we're constantly ribbing each other. My last jab before the end of the 3D season was to cut up a 'Calvin P on' sticker & place it just above a Mathews sticker a buddy put on my truck..

Priceless

Yep, that`s all it was, just a little attention grabber. I visualized some of the Mathews guys pounding the keyboard trying to respond!
And of course it is the Indian, not the bow that does 97% of the scoring.
I got whipped, fair and square!

amosgreg has me getting beat by a female plucker now! How low can I go? With a stickbow yet!
