I've been shooting my LX for two years without a problem and I just love the bow. However, about a month ago I was shooting and the top limb split. It was only a small sliver off the corner of the limb. I took it back to my dealer and he replaced the limbs. With the new limbs, the bow would only go to 66lbs. It is a 70lb bow and I had the cam over rotated just slightly, but still I could only get 66 lbs. out of it. After about 30 shots, the top limb split again, but this time it split in half down the middle. It's in the shop again. Has anyone else had similar experiences with their Mathews LX? Are they having quality control problems?

My outback that was three months old blew up.... Bottom cam split down the center, bent the bottom cam, broke the string...... Mathews replaced everything, works just fine now...

I just bought 4 new tires for my truck and one is very much out of round!!! In today's manufacturing industry, the emphis is on productivity and cost savings. IMO quality slipsmore when workers are pushed and have more of their time spent doing things like "red tape traceability" in the name of "quality" and ISO compliance, yet are still required to produce the rate set by the company.

There's a good chance that silentassassin is right. When a particular limb breaks repeatedly, it is often a problem with the limb pocket. However, the fact that yours split in two different areas, makes me think it was just bad luck. Still I would have a shop check the limb pocket and riser carefully.
