Default Pendulum sights? Are they worth it.

Looking for some feed back on Pendulum sights. They advertise that they are good up to 30yards. Have you guys tested them and what ones did you like. I usually hunt between 8 to 25ft in the air. Sometimes on the ground. Arrow speed I last tested at 228fps with a 500 grain arrow. Also would going to a lighter arrow help, if so what carbon is a good hunting carbon? Thanks.

If you hunt primarily from a tree, they work. Some can be a bugger to to get setup just right. I have used them for a long time, and switched last year to fixed pin. In my opinion, a bow shooting in the 260+ area, pendulums arent any better. With the advent of carbons, and the high speed, flat shooting bows, fixed pins are just as good. Many people use one pin out to 30 yards and kill many deer.

no moving parts, and quieter most times.

Of course though its all in what makes you confident and accurate in hunting situations.

If you still want a pendulum, the savage is probably the best out there.

I like the Toxonics Sniper. It is a well designed product that works nice.

Have several frinds that have went back to fixed pins but have never tried them personally.

I'd recommend a Predator IV. It really improved my groups. It is dead on out to 30 yards shooting a 250 fps arrow.

I use the Savage Feather weight. On the ground, it is dead on at 20yds and about 2 in low at 30. I've only taken one shot with it from the tree and missed. The deer was a meer 5 yards from me. I think I missed it cause I dropped my arm. I'm not going to blame the sight yet. That shot cost me a deer and a arrow. My ACC shatered when it hit the ground. One good thing, I have Goldtips waiting for me at the shop.

There he was broad side at 20 yards. I drew, released and....
