I just bought a used 03 Patriot Dually but need to change the draw length. I had my last bow set at 27" and attached my release directly to the string as I could not give up any DL comfortably. My question is should I drop down to the 26" module and use a string loop? At 27" the pull was about as long as I could comfortably handle and to add the loop I felt would be an awkward anchor. So is a loop worth giving up the roughly 10fps. The bow is no slouch and would still be quite fast.

since the modules are cheap i'd say yes, as soon as your turkey season ends. why not play around? you can always put the old modules on. i know what you mean about draw length though. i swear i can tell if my cable needs 1 twist without looking.

I love a string loop, but my draw length with fingers is 30 inches. I use a release and loop with my compounds and keep them set at 28 inches. Like mentioned, play with it this summer. Loops are cheap and if you dont like them, all you are out is 5 bucks.

For 20.00 dollars you can get a 100 ft roll through lancaster. I also use the rope for my little bitty goose head and also wax em up for shoestrings. They make the best boot lases yet and the wax keeps the knot in place.
