Default Dead fox, take it or leave it?

hey fellas, theres a road kill fox accross the street... I was thinking about taking it and skinning it.. Is there any easy ways to do it? Not the actual skinning part but actually preserving the hide. I kept a tail once and after about a year some of the hair was falling out. Any help would be appreciated.

How long has it been sitting outside? If its rotten its not worth the effort. Take the skull and get yourself a nice euro mount.

Also, don't know about there, but here you need to tag even roadkill.

We dont tag foxes here.

u could even take it n send it to a taxidermist n get a rug done. but as far as the tail goes did u use any type of preservative if not try borax. and after u can se the `head n make a sweet skull mount. i jsut did one that i traped. but if it was me i would take it n make a nice rug i think they are pretty inexpensive!!
