Default clear coat on antler mount

If i spray my antler mount with a clear coat will it keep the antlers from bleeching out any more then what they have already. thanks for the help.

Keeping them out of the sun will keep them from bleaching out.

don't do it

I did that with my 1st 3 bucks in the 80s

After a couple years I decided that it was difficult to improve on Natural Antlers - so the next 20 or so are not coated. I hate that my first buck (antler mounts on board) has a Ploy coating.

They don't discolor or bleach if kept in a normal home environment.
