Band - out of all the animals out there, you pick one of the hardest. Fox, yotes and bobcats are more prone to slippage than just about any other animal in North America. There isn't any fool proof way of doing it, some will swear by Krowtan, some swear at it. The way I do it..... Spray it with Stop Rot, skin and turn everything, Stop Rot flesh side for 2 hours, salt overnight, rehydrate, pickle, tan, mount. How familiar are you with the basics of tanning? Ever turn the ears, eyes, nose, lips? Fox have paper thin ears and have to be handled with care. Also do you have rubber gloves? One of the leading rabies carrier is fox, and it is very easy to get without rubber gloves. I am not trying to discourage you just inform you of some of the things that taxidermist deal every day.

Band,
I don't particularly swear by krowtan, but I do use it on most of my deer and I have not had any problems with it and it is very easy to use. Mind you, I have never used it on anything other than deer, so I can't say it will work great on a fox, but I don't see why it wouldn't. Anyway, krowtan would be my suggestion to you. Gook luck on whatever you choose.

For no more than it costs, I would send it to a professional tannery. It's definately money well spent, especially for a Stink Dog like a Fox or Coyote!
