I would agree that a person could do it themselves and save some money. That is why also got into taxidermy when i was younger because i didn't have the money to get everything that i caught or killed mounted. My price is actually on the lower side for around here.

i had mine mounted professionally for$125but it had the wings included in the mount also.

I have fixed several like bwhunter501 except instead of the plaque, I axcually fixed the head and neck in that place.it is a latex head I pour from a head of some birds I have killed.looks really good,(sorry I don't have any pic's. right now).

I charged $150.00 for the mt's. when I was doing them.
