Default weathered antlers

My brother shot a deer earlier during bow season. and we just found it. Its pretty nice and he was wanting to mount it. The antlers are kinda weathered is there anything taxidermists can put on them to make them look like they did? also when getting a cape is there anything to look for? Thanks for any help!!

Default RE: weathered antlers

Yes ,staining antlers is something we do all the time, in looking for a cape I would first look for one from the state the deer is from and the proper size and good quality hair.
