Yes, every year almost all deer lose their antlers. I have seen one deer before that did not lose his, in June I saw it, two years ago.

They just grow that many, that is where the proper nutrition and genes come in. If you notice, alot of guys have the sheds from years prior, and some of them dee had alot of points from the beginning, but they just got bigger every year, or added more.

Age and nutrition childers, age and nutrition. Some deer have already dropped thier antlers while some won't loose their antlers until the new growth pushes off this years around April.

Whitetails, like moose, elk, caribou and many others loose thier antlers every year and grow new ones that usually are much larger from the year previous depending on nutrition and genetics. They grow 25 pointers because that particular animal has some years on him, good genetics and nutrition. I hope that helps.

A buck that has not lost his antlers from one year to the next is usually as a result of injury. All healthy bucks will loose their antlers. Some may be pushed off by new growth however depending on the genetics and testosterone levels in their body...

sorry, rob pa already said it.
