Default Utah Lion for Alaskan or B.C. big game

Looking to swap Utah lion hunts for Alaskan or B.C. big game hunts. 2 hunters can apply for the draw or hunt with OTC tags in Utah. We have lots of cats. Prefer big game (caribou, mtn goat or moose) in Alaska or B.C. in return for 2 hunters.

What are the requirements for hunting in Utah? I have no idea about how to get tags in the US, but I would be interested in trading a big cat hunt for a moose/bear hunt!

Cowboy, it's not too hard. You would need a hunter's education certificate from your region. If you have one, then you can just apply online at wildlife.utah.gov. If not, you would need to obtain a hunter's education certificate which typically is a one day class. The deadline to apply for a limited permit (which allows you to hunt from Nov-June) is in Oct. If you do not draw a limited tag, you can then purchase an over-the-counter tag for a couple of units we hunt that have lots of cats. Better hunting in December or January after a fresh snow. If for some reason you do not harvest a cat on your first trip, you would be allowed to return anytime. Email me at [email protected] anytime.

The only hope of swapping a hunt in Alaska, would be with a guide, and a guide is required to hunt Mt goat, for nonres. The law is clear no one but a registered or master guide may provide for compensation supplies goods or services to a big game hunter in the field. And a hunt swap would be compensation .Non res are required to be accompanied in the field by an Alaskan licensed guide or an Alaskan resident 19 or older who is within the second degree of kindred. This means he or she ,if not as registered guide, must be your father, mother ,brother ,sister ,son, daughter, spouse, grandparent, grandchild, brother/sister-in-law, father/mother-in-law, stepfather/stepmother, stepsister/stepbrother,stepson/daughter.
Guides are required for nonres to hunt, brown bear, Dall sheep, Mt. goat.
you can hunt on your own for Black bear,Moose, and Caribou,Deer, Elk, even Bison. But be aware many hunts in many areas are restricted to draw tags.
