I was also glad to see the GSP win. I cheered like my team just made a touchdown!
After they anounced the winner and they were showing the dog the dog looked right at the camara and at the same time my GSP was near the TV, I looked at her and then at the TV and both dogs had the same look on thier face. That is if dogs can have a look on their face?

My roommate works at a bank as a loan officer. He told me that his bank always sends out cards if people do something good blahalahal. He doesn't hunt or anything like that but he said they were sending out a card congratulating a lady that bred that dog. She lives somewhere close to here I guess. The Wamego-Manhattan area in Kansas. Anybody that knows how that could confirm this for me would be appreciated. I just thought it was kind of cool, but i really don't know how to check on something like this.
Thanks

I agree with a lot of you have said. Whenever something like this happens all the yuppies have to hasve them. Then the next thing is screw the brains and instincts out of them so they will just run in a circle with a tight lead on them. It is too bad but it has happened to so many breeds I guess that is why I like Labs and Chessies. They aren't pretty just good utility dogs that mostly do what they are bred for.

I am going to have to disagree with your post a little bit. Labs are one of the breeds that this has happened to. Now I don't know if a lab has ever won best in show, however, Labs are one of the most popular breed of dogs and I would venture a guess that most of the labs alive today are labs kept for pets only and never see the duck blind or upland field. Now being a GSP man myself the only experience I have had with labs is thru friends and hunting buddies but believe you me I wouldn't buy a lab unless I knew that it was coming from hunting parents!

Labs are great dogs but our animal shelters in this area have tons of them. People are raising more litters then the demand can handle with this breed and if you want a good hunter you better do your home work.
